Maharaj Market

Known locally as the morning market, Maharaj Market operates from a roofed building between Maharaj Road and Uttarakit Road in the centre of Krabi Town, running roughly from before sunrise until around noon. It is a wholesale and retail market where residents buy fresh produce, meat and dried goods, but it is also one of the best places to eat like a local, with stalls ladling out curries over rice and preparing khao niao mamuang (mango sticky rice) and khanom krok (coconut pancakes) fresh through the morning. Trade thins out noticeably after around 9am.
